Getting Started with Citrix Demo Center

The Citrix Demo Center is a platform designed by Citrix (now part of Cloud Software Group after its acquisition) to provide partners, sales engineers, and customers with an environment to demonstrate Citrix technologies, particularly in areas like desktop virtualization, cloud services, and cloud networking.

As a Citrix CTP I already have access to a shared tenant, however due to being shared, there is no way to configure Azure Active Directory as a Identity Provider. My goal of some new upcoming blog posts is to demonstrate how to easily configure Citrix HDX Plus for Windows 365 and Citrix VDA for macOS.

Head over to Citrix Demo Center and login in. Click here to see the available Demos.

Select Citrix Daas and VDI and click Go.

Select Citrix Cloud Demo and click Provision.

Now just sit back and relax until you receive an email about the status.

Once ready, click the link shown below which will take you directly to the new demo environment.

Click Daas.

Click Enable DaaS to enable the service. This will take approximately 45 minutes and you will not receive any notification on email when ready!

The goal for the lab setup is to configure Azure Active Directory, so I`ll just use the Quick Deploy for Windows 365.

Click Connect Azure Active Directory.

Click Add an identity provider.

Fill in your details and click Add.

Finally select to Connect.

Confirm and customize your sign-in URL. Click Confirm.

Next click Connect Windows 365 account.

Make sure to use an account that has permissions to grant app access. Click Accept.

Head over to Intune Connectors and tokens – Windows 365 partner connectors.

Click Add and select Citrix. Click Add.

Head back to Demo Center and click Assign to Assign Citrix licenses.

Click Assign licenses.

Search the user(s) from Azure Active Directory to assign licenses.

This concludes the configurations required to get Citrix DaaS running in Citrix Demo Center.
